Smash Happy Recordings is on hiatus. The room is still here and select projects are still coming through it, but we are not booking a full calendar while the studio's long-term future gets worked out. If you have something you think belongs in this room, get in touch.
One project is running right now: capturing the space itself. We are measuring the room's acoustics and building them into a reverb plugin, so wherever this ends up, we can take the sound of this room with us.
Everything learned in this room went somewhere. Smash Happy Audio builds mastering plugins, guitar and bass tools and a mastering-first DAW, designed by the same engineers who ran the sessions here.
These are the tools we wanted while working on other people's records and could not buy. Judged on real music before spec sheets, priced to actually own, built without a marketing department. The reverb plugin built from this room's acoustics will live there too.
